I have no idea what is in this video. Jeremy told me made a video and “I don’t know how to do the video stuff so I guess you have to do it.” Evidentally looking at older posts to get the html tags was too difficult for him now that he is in management.
Ella and Abby both took swimming lessons this spring. By logging on the rec center system 1 minute after registration started I was able to get Ella and Abby lessons at the same time. (Earlier this year Ella missed out on some swimming lessons because I foolishly logged on an hour after registration started and they were all booked up!) Ella was in Tad Poles, a class with 5 other kids. Abby was in water babies with mom or dad and 15 other babies. Daddy took some videos and pictures the last day of class.
Ella had her last swimming class of this session on the 19th. The parents are only allowed to watch during the last class. Daddy took some cute videos of Ella and mommy spliced them together.
Ella is doing really well, her teacher this time was excellent. She knew just how to deal with Ella’s stubborness. Here teacher noted that Ella is “a strong-willed little girl” on Ella’s report card. I guess Ella would refuse to do things like jumping in or going underwater. Her teacher told her she had to go underwater once a lesson but she wouldn’t make her do it more than once. Next up is group lessons which Ella will start after Easter.
Abby is really into dancing these days. She dances to the intro music on Ella’s tv shows. Here is a video of her doing her favorite move – the walk and spin. Sometimes I think she does a little too much of the spin part and gets dizzy. Cameros are made by several disney princesses.
She’s getting very good at it, although it still seems like it’s a learning experience for her many mornings (as if she’s forgotten over night that she can do it).
Saturday night Jeremy had to read at church but I decided to stay home with Abby since we were still getting over colds. I gave Ella the option of staying home with me or going with Daddy. At first it looked like she was going to stay home but then it was “Oh… But I will miss daddy. I better go to church”
Abby is still a momma’s girl but I’m sure that will change all too soon.
Abby woke up bright and early; around 5:15, Ella awoke around 6:00, and we all went downstairs to see what Santa brought us. Ella seems delighted by the doll house santa’s elves crafted for her.
Ella and Abby opened their gifts from each other around noon today. Here’s a shortish video of the event. Keep your eyes open for Abby’s blooper moment a little ways in.
We’ll be adding more pictures and videos over the next few days as Christmas events occur.
Here is a video that we took a week ago that shows many of Abby’s new skills – sitting to crawling, crawling, pulling herself up, blowing raspberries and throwing things.
