Today we held a combined birthday party for Rhory (who turned 1 on January 27th), Ella (who turns 4 on February 1st) and Abby (who turns 1 on February 11th). Julie and I decided we would be nice and held one big party for the 3 Frick grandkids who had birthdays around the same time. A fun time was had by all. Abby ate lunch but then was too tired to do presents or cake. But Ella and cousins Rhory and Jack partied hard.

Cakes!!! We had the middle cake made by the lady who did our wedding cakes but Julie decided she wanted to make specialty cakes for all the kids. Didn’t she do a great job?

Julie called me in a panic 20 minutes before the party and asked if we had picked up the sub tray. Evidentally someone came in and picked up a sub tray for Julie that wasn’t theirs. Who does that?? But wegmans quickly made up a new one for us and no one starved.

Here she is eating some mashed potatoes. She has used the same method to eat yogurt and applesauce. Needless to say the dogs love it and swarm to the floor under her chair as soon as we are done eating.

Saturday night Jeremy had to read at church but I decided to stay home with Abby since we were still getting over colds. I gave Ella the option of staying home with me or going with Daddy. At first it looked like she was going to stay home but then it was “Oh… But I will miss daddy. I better go to church”

Abby is still a momma’s girl but I’m sure that will change all too soon.

Great Grandma Lois and Great Aunt Deb came out to visit last weekend. Here is a cute picture of Ella “reading” to Grandma Lois. She wasn’t so much reading as making up a very interesting story about a duck. Grandma Lois and Deb got to meet Abby and Anya for the first time. A great time was had by all.
